Eric Corndorf is an R&D Director of Product Development for Medtronic, Plc. Following a childhood of tinkering and inventing, he attended the University of Michigan to (formally) learn about, and receive his BS in, electrical engineering. Delaying entry into the real world, he then went to Northwestern University to earn a PhD in electrical engineering, studying quantum optics and quantum cryptography.
For the past 11 years he has worked for Medtronic, the world's largest and leading medical technology company. Starting off as a security and communications engineer, he has moved through various technical and people leadership roles, and is now a director of product development for Medtronic's implantable defibrillator business. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hill Country Science Mill outside of Austin, TX.
