The Literacy Matters Project is committed to ensuring that our content is accessible to the widest possible audience. In doing so, we have followed a set of universal design guidelines to ensure that content found on our Web site is accessible to the widest possible audience.

These guidelines are based on the emerging work and recommendations of:

Bobby WorldWide Approved W3C Approved IconWe run our site through HTML validation programs to check spelling, assess image load time, ensure alternative text tags are included throughout, proof HTML design, ensure hyperlinks are accurate and unbroken, check browser compatibility, and monitor other accessibility features. We check all new pages we add to the site. As we are able, we will update our site with new elements which provide even greater access to information and resources.

A note about links to other websites:

When selected, links to websites outside of the Literacy Matters website will "pop up" or appear in a new window. We purposely designed it this way, so that when following links to external resources, visitors do not lose the Literacy Matters website. To return to the Literacy Matters website from another website, simply close that window and you will return to the place where you left off.

Should you have any questions, please email us.

Please contact Jen Minotti, Webmaster with any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions about the accessibility of this Web site.
